While the meet-ups themselves are free, there are often optional purchases available, such as Friends of Socrates merchandise and food, which participants can choose to buy.
  • What are meetings like?
    At a Friends of Socrates event, the experience is dynamic yet structured. Upon arrival, participants sign in and get a name-tag with either their real name or a code name. We provide a quick overview of conversation guidelines, then pair participants with conversation partners. Throughout the event, you'll engage in discussions using conversation prompts, rotating to a new partner every 3-10 minutes based on the prompts and group
  • How often are events?
    Friends of Socrates typically hosts regular meet-ups at least once per month. Additionally, we organize specialty events in-between, so be sure to keep an eye out for those!
  • Is there an age-limit?
    Friends of Socrates values a diverse range of perspectives and welcomes participants of various ages. While we don't have a strict age rule, we recommend that participants be at least high school age to ensure meaningful and engaging conversations.
